RenderGo lets you see and control Adobe Media Encoder on your computer from your phone. This page explains exactly what information that involves. In short: no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
The RenderGo program runs on the computer with Media Encoder. To show and control the queue it reads Media Encoder's queue file and logs, and takes pictures of Media Encoder's own window (the preview frame, the progress bar, and any question window Media Encoder shows). It doesn't look at other windows or files. If your renders are saved in Google Drive for desktop, it reads Google Drive's local index to find the share link of a finished file; it never signs in to your Google account.
A "support report" you create from the menu is a folder on your desktop; it is never sent anywhere by RenderGo.
So the phone works from anywhere, the computer connects out to the RenderGo server (hosted on Cloudflare), and your phone connects to the same place. The server passes along:
The last known queue (without pictures) is stored on the server so your phone can show it while the computer is off. Only phones you paired can see it: pairing uses a secret key from your computer, which the server keeps only in scrambled (hashed) form.
When you turn on notifications, your phone's browser gives the server a push address. It's used only to send RenderGo notifications about your renders, and is removed when the phone is no longer paired or the address stops working.
To run the 7-day trial and to check activation codes, the server keeps a one-way fingerprint of the computer (derived from Windows' installation ID; the ID itself is never sent), the date the trial started, and for each activation code (stored hashed) the fingerprints of the computers it's active on. Purchases are handled by aescripts + aeplugins; RenderGo never sees your payment details.
Un-pair a phone by pairing again from the computer (old keys stop working). Uninstalling RenderGo stops all communication. To have the stored queue, push addresses, or trial and activation records for your computer deleted from the server, email support@getrendergo.com.
